UC and AFSCME continue negotiations for Patient Care Technical and Service employees

La Universidad de California (UC) y la American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union (AFSCME) celebraron sus sesiones de negociación el 7 y 8 de marzo para estipular los nuevos contratos de los empleados técnicos y de servicios de Atención al Paciente. To underscore how serious UC is about an agreement, UC President Janet Napolitano made a special appearance at the July 15th bargaining session between UC and AFSCME to deliver the following messages to union leaders:

Leadership Letter to UCSF: Notice of Strike

Dear UCSF Community, We have received notice from the AFSCME union that both of their bargaining units will strike or participate in a sympathy strike across the University of California (UC) system, including UCSF, beginning Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 4:00 a.m. and ending Friday, October 26, 2018 at 3:59 a.m. UC anticipates that other unions with expired contracts also may join AFSCME in sympathy.
