Strike Impacts to UCSF

UC San Francisco is preparing for a one-day strike on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

UCSF will do its best to minimize disruptions to services during the strike, which will run from 12:00 a.m., May 16, through 11:59 p.m. that night. Although contingency plans have been developed, we expect that some services will be affected during the strike.

Most of the strike picketing activity is anticipated to occur on the Mission Bay campus, where the UC Board of Regents have a scheduled meeting at the Mission Bay Conference Center. This area is expected to be particularly busy given the Regents meeting and presence of strike protestors. As such this area should be avoided if possible.

As always, UCSF’s top priority is to ensure the safety and security of the entire UCSF community, including patients and visitors.
