Direct-to-department deliveries: UPS/FedEx are making deliveries. In case of unsuccessful attempts - non-critical packages will go out the following day; time-sensitive or perishable deliveries to be routed through UCSF Health Material Services.

Custodial services will focus on maintaining essential operations, with priority given to high-traffic restrooms, childcare centers, housing, parking, fitness and recreation areas, clinics, and labs. Cleaning services in common spaces may be modified, but key areas will continue to receive routine support.

• Parnassus and Mission Bay Cafés will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily with limited services​
• Mount Zion Café, Saint Francis Café, and St. Mary’s Café are closed.​
• All non-UCSF food vendors will be open during the strike. ​
• Food delivery for patients in the hospitals will continue as normal from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.​

• We are anticipating parking at the Parnassus Heights Millberry Union (MU) and Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) garages to reach capacity on Thursday, November 21. We encourage you to take public transportation; alternative parking is available at 350 Parnassus or Kezar Lot located at 825 Stanyan.
• UCSF parking facilities, including valet service, are expected to be fully operational during the strike. Please allow extra time to park. ​
• Valet services will prioritize patients and visitors at all medical centers and clinics. Employees using valet should anticipate potential delays, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
• Parnassus employees may park in their usual locations but should contact Security Services (415-885-7890) for information about garage entry location and unimpeded pedestrian doors.​
• Mission Bay employees are encouraged to park at Nelson Rising Lane Surface Lots 1 or 4. If these fill up, employees can park at 3rd St. Garage. Permit are not required.​
• Mount Zion employees may park in usual locations but should first contact Security Services (415-885-7890) for information on garage entry location and unimpeded pedestrian doors.​

• ORs will be open for scheduled and emergent cases.​

• Radiology will primarily support inpatient needs, operating at reduced levels in ambulatory settings.​
• Pharmacy wait times may be longer.​ Bayfront and Parnassus outpatient pharmacies will be closed.
• Laboratory, rehab, pathology, case management and blood bank full service expected; EXCEPTION: clinical labs at Berkeley and Lakeshore will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.

UCSF shuttles will operate on a modified schedule, with some routes serviced by a third-party provider, so shuttles may look different than usual. Transportation ambassadors will be stationed at Mission Bay, Parnassus Heights, and Mount Zion to assist with any questions. Please note that our temporary shuttles do not have bike racks. Please plan accordingly. 

No street closures are anticipated​. Employees should allow extra time for arrival as there may be some traffic impacts due to picketing activities​

Picketing is expected at Mission Bay (16th and 4th Streets) as well as Parnassus Avenue (in front of Medical Sciences) so heavier-than-normal foot traffic anticipated.​
